By the end of 2022, there were 465 online freight enterprises in Shanxi, integrating the social scattered transport capacity of 2.23 million vehicles, completing the freight volume of 588 million tons, realizing revenue of over 100 billion yuan, and achieving remarkable results in digital industrialization. By the end of 2024, e-commerce and express logistics services will be deeply integrated, and two-way circulation channels of agricultural products to cities and industrial products to rural areas will be smoother. The "14th Five-Year Plan" Cold Chain Logistics Development Plan of Shanxi Province released recently clearly supports Taiyuan to enter the national backbone cold chain logistics base construction list and accelerate its integration into the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei cold chain logistics network. The plan also proposes that, by 2025, Shanxi will basically establish a cold chain logistics dry control network facing Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, covering 11 prefectures and major counties (cities), complement the upstream and downstream weaknesses of cold chain logistics, and strive to become a key node of regional cold chain logistics and industrial cycle serving Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei and radiating the central region.
